Touch-A-Truck (May 31, 2008)
Children had the opportunity to explore trucks of all shapes and sizes including fire engines, police cars, construction vehicles, a SWAT vehicle and a cement mixer. Imaginations came to life as kids got up-close to the trucks, sitting in the driver's seat, honking the horn and turning on the sirens.
The Junior League of Pittsburgh chose KaBOOM! as its signature project and committed to building three play spaces over three years. The JLP completed their third playground build on September 20, 2008. The first was built on October 28, 2006 in Turtle Creek with the Human Services Center Corporation as a community partner. The second was built on Pittsburgh's North Side in September 2007 with the partnership of the Pittsburgh Project. The funds for the 2008 playground build were raised through the JLP's 2007 Designers' Show House.
