2023 Anniversary Luncheon

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, 45 members and guests of the Junior League of Pittsburgh (JLP) gathered at McCormick & Schmick’s to celebrate the League’s 101st anniversary and to learn more about how to welcome newcomers to Pittsburgh.

After enjoying fall cocktails and being seated for a delicious lunch and decadent dessert, guests heard an informative and compelling presentation from Sloane Davidson, Founder & CEO of Hello Neighbor. Davidson shared her insights on the factors that often go into a person’s decision to leave their homeland, the challenges that newcomers face when arriving in a new country, and how Hello Neighbor, and by extension, all of us, can lend a helping hand. The League believes that all people deserve a warm and welcoming community, and it is committed to working with its partners to make Pittsburgh a more inclusive and welcoming city for all.
